Custom Card of the Day: Ross Edition

Okay, I've done a few playoff contenders in a row. I should probably do someone inconsequential, someone who I'm sure won't be playing a month from now.

HEY! TYSON ROSS!

I'm sorry if that's a low blow to any Padres fans, but it looks like the Giants and Dodgers seem to have made up the playoff contenders for the NL West, and while the Padres made a gallant effort, they're still destined to come in third. But at least they have players like Tyson Ross, who are pitching beautifully this season, and who are making the A's a bit mad that they traded him away.

This is Ross' best season yet, and his most impactful since he left Oakland. And while Padres fans must still be reeling due to the loss of players like Chris Denorfia and Chase Headley (sorry about that one), at least they've got a nice set of pitchers in Ross, Odrisamer Despaigne, and Andrew Cashner, all of whom are great when healthy.

I'm not sure if the Padres will be a contender anytime in the near future, but it'd be nice if they were. The fans deserve something good from them.

Coming Tonight- Might as well do two inconsequential teams in a row. Here, the one member of the Phillies who's actually playing really well, whose name isn't Byrd or Utley.
